Startup Master Class is a flagship event of the Alumni Association IIT Kanpur. The 4th Pune edition and 19th countrywide edition is coming to Pune on 29th September 2019.

SMC targets promotion of entrepreneurship by creating and fostering an ecosystem for entrepreneurs, mentors and investors alike. It is organized by IITians in partnership with other like-minded organizations.

The first three SMC events in Pune have been a big success and have been addressed by Minister and eminent businessmen like Honourable Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mr. Narayan Murthy, Chief Minister Late. Manohar Parrikar, Honourable Suresh Prabhu, Mr. Baba Kalyani, Mr. Anand Deshpande and Mr. Girish Bhagat.

This event is being held to support the vision and Startup India activities under the able leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi.

Pune is universally recognized as Oxford of the East and also Detroit of the East. This combination provides fertile soil for startups to take roots. SMC aims to nurture these startups to a level where Pune will also be recognized as Silicon Valley of the East in the future.
